Snowmobilers Beware

When all of us snow sports enthusiasts are rejoicing about the abundance of snow in this area, it is important to remember that there are some concerns regarding safety this time of year.  After reading the Daily Interlake article about two avalanches happening in the Whitefish Mountain Range in rapid succession, it prompted me to read up about avalanche and snow safety--for your reference I've included some links below. While we all enjoy all the recreational activities that are available in abundance for us in Northwestern Montana, it is important to remember that there are precautions to be taken.  Enjoy yourselves out there, but be sure to take care and concern for some of the misfortunes that can occur in nature.  Cheers and Happy 2008!
